Yes, yet another random title. ;)

So, topic one: TRACK AND FIELD! I did mention that I joined my school's track team this year, and we had our first meet yesterday, Thursday. I did okay. On Triple Jump, I didn't scratch and got three okay-ish scores. But in Long Jump, I did a good practice and FREAKING SCRATCHED ON THE FIRST JUMP and got okay scores for the other two. AND MY SCHOOL KICKED THE OPPOSING SCHOOL'S @$$! HA! We won 5 out of 6 events, and the last one we lost by ONE point. D:

Topic two: Wacky weather. IT WAS SO HOT ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY AND OKAY ON WEDNESDAY AND KINDA WINDY ON THURSDAY AND UBER COLD TODAY, FRIDAY!!! AND THEY EVEN SAID IT MIGHT RAIN ON SATURDAY! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS WEATHER THING?????

Topic three: TWILIGHT! xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
So my friends are generally on Team Jacob, and one is neutral, since both are awesome to her. I like Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the movie. HE HAS A FREAKING 8-PACK! OMFG WOW HUH? I'm like such a total fangirl. xD But then again, I like Edward tooooo. :D
Topic four: MOVIES. I NEED to see Knowing soooo bad. Two of my friends saw it, and it freaking scared them so bad, and it's really rare when a movie or book can cause such a reaction in people, so I really want to see it. How awesome, huh? Also, I hafta see 17 Again. MUST SEE!
Topic five: BOOOOKKKSSSSSSSSSS! Last night, I read a book by Lisa Schroeder, called I Heart You, You Haunt Me. It made me cry. Like real tears crying. Real CRYING. It was THAT good. Also, I finished The Host by--well, whaddaya know?--Stephenie Meyer. And awesomely, I got the second books to two awesome awesome AWESOME series. Vampire Academy and the Mortal Instruments series.

HEAT WAVE! -faints-

So, I haven't written in a week, and I apologize to my dear readers. Sorry! ^^;

First of all, I want to mention the insane weather. So we come back from LA (Oh, the trip was totally awesome. We went to the Getty Museum, Huntington Library, Arboteum--they have wild peafowl there! The peacocks are so colorful, and the peahen are also realllly pretty~ It was so coolllll--and this little place called Ostrichland! We got to feed the emus and ostriches, and the little emu chicks are sooo cute. I took oodles of pix, so I'll try to post some here if I find the time.) and it's really windy. Today (and yesterday...) was sweltering. This heat wave will be the end of me, I tell you. I hate the heat. Gimme a sprinkling of rain and a cool breeze anytime. And the weather forecast predicts RAIN on Saturday! Global warming is so annoying.

Anyhoo, I had to do TRACK PRACTICE IN THIS WEATHER. KILLER! I ran slugishly and didn't go up to full speed, and I felt kinda off today. I hope it eases up tomorrow. It seems it'll be slightly cloudy... I hope it cools! I came home, craving a shower badly, but settled with ice water. :]

Second of interest, I think my sanity ran away. More on that later, perhaps.

Thirdly, I STILL haven't finished memorizing that Ballad of Mulan thing. Blehhk. Unfortunately, the count still is at 9, sadly. I hate this assignment. It'll be the end of me. Ah, remind me to do my Chinese homework, okai peepullz?

Nexxxtttt, COOKING CLASS IS AWESOME! We just finished the pasta unit (my little sister looovvveeesss pasta, and loved the pasta I brought home.) and are now doing multi-cultural foods. Can't wait. Did you know some cultures eat sheep eyeballs and monkey brains? EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW. But if you really think about it, it won't be weird for the people who eat this... To them, us drinking milk and eating dairy products must be really weird too! I mean, if you think about, consuming the fluid from a cow's mammary glands seems pretty yucky too! Another thing for y'all to think about~

Well, we are going down near LA... Santa Barbara to be exact. It'll be awesome.
We're leaving on Friday (April 9th) night and will be back on April 14th.

Okai, so the school I go to has a WEB program, which is a program that helps 6th graders get used to middle school and all, so yeah.

Well, I was nominated! c[:

We (the approx. 250 nominees) have to write an "essay" (I quoted it b'cuz it's a) max ONE page and b) double spaced, so it's practically a paragraph. And everyone was whining about writing it before, but honestly, IT'S NOTHING.) to turn in with our application. I've written a rough draft already~

Alrighty, peeps, it's true. I'm NOT lying.

I, Emmi, the un-athelete of all time, the worst-at-sport-er that ever lived, had joined her school's Track and Field. Yes, I did.

Well, I attended the first meeting, and with steely determination, I have decided to stick through it for the entire season. Who thinks I'll make it? ;)

I decided to do Long Jump for sure, and maybe Triple Jump and High Jump. :]p
No, I won't do any runs. I have no endurance and no speed. I can just do jumps. xD

Btw, these practices are three times a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Suh-ho, you should know that I attend Saturday chinese school. One and a half ours of pure torture. Blehh. I was required to memorize a lesson (Lesson 6, The Ballad of Mulan), and those who know me, you all know that memorization is NOT one of my strong points. I hate it. So this assignment was a ticket to hell.

The Dance!

Haii~

Yessiree, the last dance (of this school year at least) was last night! I had a good time.

The theme was the 80's (xP) and they didn't even tell us. Ughh. The songs in the beginning weren't very good, but there were two swing dance songs, and seeing the eighth graders swing dance was cooler than cool. They were flying. I can't wait to learn it next year~ The songs got more modern and better towards the end, and I had a pretty good time all in all.

No, I didn't get to slow dance. x( I was actually pretty close. One of my friends was all, "C'mon! Dance! Dance!" during one of the slow dances, gesturing wildly between me and this other guy, but we just stared at each other awkwardly and didn't dance. :(

But one little thing:

I VOW TO ASK SOMEONE TO DANCE NEXT YEAR AT THE DANCE!

Okay, mark my words... I'll try to post if I do or not later this year, if I remember to. xD

First of all, for all you nutso peeps out there, obsessing over my post title, I DUN CARE... I just didn't know what to name my post, and randomly went qwerty, okay? Okay.

You trying-to-be-cool dudes and dudettes out there, you'll probably go "What's up?" And even if you say that and aren't trying to be cool, whatevs. I like to say "How's life?" or even "How's it going?" xDD

To answer my question:

Well, we have a school social dance tomorrow night. I'm pysched. It's gonna be AWESOME!! I always have a great time at the school dances. It's in the MP Room, the only lights are the ones on the DJ booth, and they whirl around, illuminating random places and people, throwing them into color. We mingle, socialize, listen to the blaring music, and dance the night away. It's the best. I hope H can go, so S will be thrilled. As for me, I want the As to go. W and I will both be delighted. And for all you people out there who chose to hole up yourselves in your homes and be hermits, TOO BAD. xP

Yes, you Gossip Girl fanatics, I used it, I admit it! To ensure privacy, the names of people here will be named as the first letter of their first names. xD And you may be thinking, "You're not only copying that, you're copying the style!" Well, I may be subconsciously, but I don't really care. :P
